Terms of use
Last updated: 28 October 2026
These terms cover the Enclavo app and website ("Enclavo", "we", "us"). The housing society, apartment association or builder that signs up for Enclavo is our customer (the "society"). Residents, family members, guards, staff and committee members who get a login are "users". By using Enclavo you agree to these terms.
1. What Enclavo does
Enclavo helps a society run its gate, visitors, deliveries, daily help, staff attendance, parking, maintenance dues, facility bookings, polls, notices, complaints, SOS alerts and society accounts. Features can change as we improve the app. If we remove something a society relies on, we will tell the committee first.
2. Logins
- The society's committee decides who gets a login and which flat or role they have. A resident can add family members to their own flat.
- You log in with your mobile number and a one-time code sent by SMS. Keep your phone secure; anyone with your unlocked phone can act as you in the app.
- One mobile number is one login. A committee member who lives in the society uses the same login for their flat and for committee work.
- Tell your committee if you move out or change your number, so your login can be removed.
3. The society's responsibilities
- Enter correct flat, resident and staff details, and keep them up to date.
- Tell residents and staff that the society uses Enclavo, and what is recorded (see the privacy policy).
- Use visitor, resident and staff information only to run the society, never for marketing or to harass anyone.
- Pay the agreed fees on time.
4. Fair use
Do not use Enclavo to post anything unlawful, abusive or misleading, to impersonate anyone, to collect other people's data, or to try to break into, overload or copy the service. We may suspend a login that does this, and will tell the society.
5. Gate, calls, alerts and SOS
- Phone notifications, automated calls and SMS depend on mobile networks, phone settings and third-party providers. We work to make them reliable but cannot promise every alert or call will arrive.
- The guard and the society remain responsible for who enters the premises. Enclavo records decisions; it does not replace security staff.
- SOS is not an emergency service. It alerts the society's guards and committee. In a medical emergency, fire or crime, also call 112 (or 108 for an ambulance, 101 for fire).
- Delivery alerts on Android are optional and only work after you allow notification access on your phone.
6. Payments and money
- Residents pay maintenance, booking charges and contributions directly to the society's own UPI ID or bank account. Enclavo does not receive, hold or refund that money. Payment disputes are between the resident and the society.
- The society pays Enclavo a subscription as agreed in writing (per flat, per month or per year). Fees are payable in advance and are not refunded for a part period, unless we agree otherwise. Prices do not include GST, which is added where it applies.
- A free pilot, if offered, ends on the date agreed. The society can stop at the end of the pilot without paying anything.
- If fees are unpaid for more than 30 days after a reminder, we may limit the committee screens until they are paid. Gate approvals and SOS keep working for at least 30 more days.
7. Society accounts, GST and TDS
Enclavo's accounts, GST invoice, TDS and report features are tools for keeping records. They are not accounting, tax or legal advice. The society's committee and its chartered accountant are responsible for the correctness of entries, GST registration and returns, TDS deduction and deposit, and the audit of the society's accounts.
8. Your data
- The society owns its data. We process it to provide Enclavo, as described in the privacy policy, and never sell it or show ads.
- The committee can export its records (dues, accounts, attendance) as CSV files at any time.
- If the society stops using Enclavo, we keep its data for 60 days so it can be exported, and then delete it, except where the law requires us to keep it longer.
- A user can delete their own login from the app (More, Delete my account).
9. Availability
We aim to keep Enclavo running at all times, but there will be short breaks for maintenance and occasional outages we do not control. We will tell societies in advance about planned work where we can.
10. Liability
Enclavo is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, or for loss caused by a missed alert, an incorrect entry, a third-party service, or a decision made by a guard, resident or committee. Our total liability to a society for any claim is limited to the fees it paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Ending
A society can stop using Enclavo at the end of any paid period by telling us in writing. We can end the service with 30 days' notice, or straight away if these terms are seriously broken.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. For any important change we will tell society committees at least 15 days before it applies. Using Enclavo after that means you accept the new terms.
13. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Ahmedabad, Gujarat have jurisdiction over any dispute.
